Summer Balloon Classic
Dates: June 20-22, 2008
Location: Mid-Way Regional Airpor
An aviation extravaganza featuring 4 Hot Air Balloon launches with 50 magnificent, colorful balloons including special shapes that only the mind can imagine. Beautiful mass ascensions followed by top ranked competitors flying their balloons to compete in challenging tasks! “Lites in the Nite” Balloon Glow will take place just at sunset on Saturday evening. The area will be filled with balloons on static display to light up the evening sky with a spectacular glow of color! Aviation Extravaganza will take place throughout the day with continuous aviation entertainment including gliders, helicopters, fixed wing, skydivers and military aircraft. These will include demonstration flights and flyovers, static displays and also flights offered to the public. Attractions will feature exhibits and displays of food, arts and crafts, education and more! Children’s area with free activities! Something for all ages! Free to the public. $5 parking fee.
