The airport opened in October, 1992 to serve a rapidly growing area. It has been designed for expansion in order to meet future aeronautical business and traffic needs. The runway, taxiway and ramp have recently been resurfaced. We are proceeding with the expansion of our runway to 6,500 feet. With this commitment, the airport has grown from 19-based aircraft in 1998 to 102-based aircraft presently.
We are located 30 minutes south of downtown Dallas and 35 minutes southeast of downtown Ft. Worth on U.S. Highway 287 between Midlothian and Waxahachie.
